The Package
The Way Out Game is a teaching package that fabricates the experience of victimization in an engagement game format, where children can begin to learn and understand the real possibility of facing commercial sexual exploitation in the United States. It is an activity to teach preteens about the issue of commercial sexual exploitation through the visualization of informative statistics, useful rescue resources, and how-to's to building healthier relationships. The activity integrates the pressures of teenage and pop-culture influences into its game mechanics with the goal to cultivate necessary social interactions and empathy. Giving children a real-world understanding of the situation and how to prepare for the worst case scenario.
